Our client OMV is one of the largest Oil & Gas companies with millions of patrons in countries across Europe. Incepted 60 years ago, OMV is a well-known brand and has filling stations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
OMV, one of Europe’s largest oil and gas companies, was looking to modernize its core operational systems and ensure easy access to data. It was crucial to centralize receipts stored in separate databases based on the location of the fuelling stations and make the fuel receipts data distributed over various databases accessible to the customer.
OMV has 1450 filling stations serve millions of customers. The receipts for each refuel were stored in separate databases based on the location of the fuelling stations. The focus was to use technology to ease out pain areas faced by customers, centralize this data repository, and make the receipts available to the customer. The need was to align with intelligent business processes, integrated and centralized systems with high information visibility.

engineering phase, Hidden Brains finalized
sprint planning and identified
the best appropriate resources

The filling station finder would be the project's highlight,
requiring the app to accurately pin the
stations on the map with a high level
of accuracy. To achieve this result,
the Hidden Brains team created the proof of concept for the app.
The development stage began with the backing of
strong reverse engineering and developed
with utmost care and a high level of quality
to ensure that OMV brand values are
showcased in the final product.
This stage revolved around merging data and achieved by
analyzing the invoices' XML files and patterns. Accurately migrate data of
all the old filling station receipts from different servers and
filling stations to one single server with
a high success ratio without losing a single receipt.
Conducted rigorous testing of the app to ensure
seamless functioning of data, features, and perks performance.
After meticulous testing of the app,
Hidden Brains and OMV were all set to launch the app.
Successfully launched the app in both Apple App Store
and Google Play Store. Steered OMV as an innovative brand
and change brought positive feedback from existing clients,
ultimately making OMV customers into
one happy group of users across
three continents.
